Yard Bird Poultry Rub
Pull skin back off breast and apply rub lightly underneath. Pat the skin back down and
apply rub liberally on the breast. With the legs, apply liberally on the skin. Feel free to
use a base even though poultry usually doesn’t need it. A olive oil base works well with
poultry or a very light base of your favorite BBQ sauce.
- 4 tbsp granulated brown sugar
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp granulated garlic
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
- 2 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Make sure the ingredients are even to
your eye and have good diverse mixture in the bowl. Apply liberally to your poultry.

Very good rub! I could not find sweet Hungarian paprika, only hot Hungarian paprika. The rub had a nice sweet flavor going on, and it came out sweet and a little spicy after cooking. I definitely recommend it. I will use this again soon!
